Review: The Marble Collector

Hello everybody!

This is my new review and I hope you like it.
Let me know what you think in the comments!

Book 2: The Marble Collector by Cecelia Ahern

Description:
A forgotten childhood. A discovered life. What if you only had one day to find out who you really were? When Sabrina Boggs stumbles upon a mysterious collection of her father's possessions, she discovers a truth where she never knew there was a lie. The familiar man she grew up with is suddenly a stranger to her. An unexpected break in her monotonous daily routine leaves her just one day to unlock the secrets of the man she thought she knew. A day that unearths memories, stories and people she never knew existed. A day that changes her and those around her forever. The Marble Collector is a thought-provoking novel about how the most ordinary decisions we make can have the most extraordinary consequences for how we live our lives. And how sometimes it's only by shining on a light on someone else, that you can truly understand yourself. (Waterstones.com)

Style of writing and story:

I went to a reading of Cecelia Ahern and I think she is the sweetest and nicest woman I have ever met. She was funny and she loved what she did you could tell.
She told us about The Marble Collector and I was introduced to the story before I even got to read the book. It was very nice because she introduced us so well and in such a funny way!
That was the reason I enjoyed this book even more.
The story develops a little slowly at the beginning but this is exactly the right way because you get used to Sabrina's way of seeing things in life as well as her father's.
I don't want to spoil too much but this story is special and you're going to go on a special and magnificent ride.
Her style of writing is very touching and neither too colloquial nor too over the top.

Cover:

You can see a young boy chasing marbles on the cover. On first sight you might think it looks a little childish but after reading the book you're going to know exactly why this cover is perfect for the story.

My opinion:

I think the book was marvellous! I loved reading it and I can tell you right from my heart that Cecelia is such a nice and lovely person. If you have the chance go to her readings! You're going to love her!!

Result:

This book is a 9/10! Brilliant!
